Platyceras arkonensis on Arthroacantha carpenteri
$155.00
Description
An excellent example of a parasitic relationship, as the gastropod (Platyceras arkonensis) is sitting on the crinoid’s (Arthroacantha carpenteri) anus, where it fed on the waste. Both specimens display incredibly good detail, including that of a bryozoan growing on the gastropod. This specimen is from the Devonian Period, Hamilton Formation and was found in Arkona, Ontario.
